Your data stays in Europe
We store everything within the European Economic Area, with European providers. Even there, only encrypted data is kept.
We cannot read your data
Your Pass is encrypted in your browser before anything is sent. We do not have your key. That is why we cannot read your data, and we cannot recover your password either.
Cancelling? Your Passes stay
If you cancel, your subscription runs until the end of the period. After that you fall back to Free. All your Passes stay. Passes above the Free limit become read-only until you choose a plan again.

Good to know
Can PassMyBits read my data?
No. Your data is encrypted on your own device before it reaches our servers. We only store the encrypted version and do not have the keys.
Who can request access to my Pass?
Only the people you shared a Pass with. They receive an access card with a unique key from you, and the passwords separately.
What if someone requests access too early?
You are notified immediately and the safety period starts. While it runs, you can block the request. Nothing opens without you having had the chance to respond.
Is this the same as a will?
No. A will regulates the distribution of assets. PassMyBits takes care of the rest: the practical information, your wishes and the personal messages your loved ones need.
What does it cost?
You start for free with one Pass, without payment details. If you want more Passes, files or a longer time lock, you choose a paid subscription. All prices include VAT.
